Not as good as CS 1.6

User Rating: 7.5 | Counter-Strike: Source PC
CS:S in my eyes suffers from too many problems to make it enjoyable and the main one is Valves ability to screw up what could have been a great game. Instead CS and CSS turn out to attract 2 completly different players and seem to be different games even though one tries to copy the original.

Pro's:

- Better graphics
- Better sounds
- More patching support
- Changing every skin
- Changing every sound
- creating maps
- Highly customizable game

Con's

- Less community support than CS
- Less people playing than CS
- The new radar
- DWP
- Admin noobs
- Netcode/interpolate
- Hitboxes are retarded thanx to ^
- Community isn't as good as CS
- No buying ammo anymore as it comes with guns
- Less modding

Gameplay:

Far as i see it, the game follows the esact same path as CS but a few game breaking changes here and there ruin it for me, which i've stated ^. The maps also are tooo cluttered and the soruce engine doesn't help CSS with the physics which just get annoying playing for money.
It's overall the same as CS but it just ends up being a game for people whocare about graphics over gameplay.

Sound:

Great sound, better than CS by far IMO and whats better is you can change everything to your taste so it doesn't really matter what comes as default.

Value:

Great aswel if you buy it on its own or get it with the amazing HL2.

Overall i'd say stick with or play CS 1.6 instead, CSS has far tooo many problems with it that just make CS 1.6 sooo much better to play. You'll only really notice the problems as you become more xp with the game and more people switch over to 1.6 anyways.
