There are a few games in the last few years that I Insist the major populous play and Counter-Strike is one of them. CS was the pinnacle of online mutiplayer gaming from 1999 on, fps or not. This game changed the way people play online. Valve has developed a very good "copy" of this on to the new HL2 source engine.

The graphics are very crips, clear and genuine. The game play is almost the exact same, Really its not as good as the final patched version of the original counter-strike(1.6) but it does bring the genre, and the game itself into the new high end level of gaming that pc builders and fps junkies will love. It adds new, and memorible maps, and a few features that help the game evolove into a sold sequal. Will it stop you from play CS(1.6) for 6 hours a day, no, However it is as much as we could have hoped for in the evolution of the seriers. Truth be told, if you dont like CS:S... you dont like FPS.

Play it, love it, embrace it as the new standard.

    Repetitive? Yes, but somehow CS Source just never gets old.
