Counter Strike is an easily addictive multi-player first person shooter and single player mode is great too but no zang
Now with that said I have to explain the pros and cons that will hit and miss certain gamers. The looks of this game is average X box graphics quality. The characters are done pretty well similar to Max Payne 2 if you have played it. The level design and graphics in that department are low quality, there is not much there but that is okay though.
The game-play is the money maker in that you have a certain time before a "match" to select your own weapons (which range nicely and creates variety) and other items to make killing easier. You must find the opposing forces and take them out or accomplish another objective depending which side you are on to win. As terrorists you might have to take them out or just plant a bomb in one of two designated places and protect it from defusing from the counter side. The firing is almost swat for that you only have to take a small amount of shots to be taken down so you must be careful and on alert at all times. The movement is sort of Halo so there is jumping and squatting to make yourself harder to hit.
Now the sound on this is very basic. you have very few commands for your squad and they are not very helpful. The firing is a realistic comparison but that is all you get for noise. Did I mention the A.I. is wickedly smart? At times when you are out gunned you might try and run away. This wont work out very much as they will chase you and use their surroundings (such as hostages) for protection.
The different modes are limited so there is not much different you can do but the game-play is different and fun and should keep you entertained off and on for as long as you have the game.
