This game has no campaign mode, yet it was the first game that I ever played extensively on XBOX Live. Basically, don't purchase this game unless you have Live, in which case it is worth it. If you have other online games such as Halo 2, it may not be worth it however. CS lacks many key features and only has lasting appeal because of XBOX Live. I recommend you don't purchase this, however it is sometimes fun to play with friends. I really liked this game for quite a while. It's not a bad game, it just came up short. Counterstrike could have had way more gametypes but they chose not to. If they made a second it should be better. Also, Half-Life 2, made by the same company, is supposedly fun and more long lasting, so perhaps if you are looking for a Sci-Fi FPS, then I recommend that.
