Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex for Playstation 2. Is it actually good?
It keeps the crash bandicoot formula seen in the last 3 games for the PS1. You have 6 worlds, 5 levels in each, you gotta run around, eat fruit, jump over spikes, dodge traps, smash boxes and collect the crystal at the end of the level. Your basic 3D platformer.
Good points:
Neat level design, not particularly difficult, graphics remain Crash like, colourful and cartoony, nice level background songs, Bonus levels and Time Relics keep the crash game entertaining for longer, different variety of game play in some levels.
Bad points:
Loading times are quite painful, not a lot of challenge, no multiplayer, some levels are Booooring, Bonus levels are particularly dull, doesn't have enough real greatness in this game, short main adventure.
Bottom Line:
If you're looking for a classic 3D platformer, this ain't for you. Look for JAK AND DAXTER or RATCHET AND CLANK. If you totally love Crash, try Twinsanity. If you can't help yourself, give this game a rental. It ain't all bad.
