i can't accurately remember the plot because i haven't watched the intro in a while. i do know however, that it involves uka uka and cortex using crystals to use some kind of machine to do something evil, and its up to crash bandicoot and his sister, coco, to stop them. to finish the game, you only need to get every crystal from each of the five rooms, and beat their bosses. this means grabbing the crystal while trying to get to the end of the level. the crystal is never really hidden; its always in the middle of your path, so if you miss it... you have problems lol. other levels make you complete a certain task before obtaining a crystal, such as "bye bye blimps" and "mad bombers". but once you get all the crystals, the game isn't even near finished. you still have gems and relics to collect. most gems are gotten by destroying every box within a level, while others are from taking a certain path, opened under special circumstances, through a level. the relics are possibly the most fun to obtain. you earn them by completing a level in the fastest time possible. it is also fun to try to beat your previous scores. there are three kinds of relics: sapphire, gold, and platinum. sapphire requires a short amount of time, gold requires a shorter amount of time, and platinums require completing the level in the shortest amount of time, which they do not tell you. you have to keep speed running the level until you get it.
this game is a must-have for all playstation owners!
