A classic that has inspired many.
Crash Bandicoot, though he doesn't live on anymore, his classics still do. Crash has really taken the crown for platforming and obliterates all others in its path, because it cannot become a competition for any other platformer.
Ok, so there is not that much to do in this game, other then collect gems and a couple of keys, and that the fact that all you can do is jump and spin, but come on, look at Sonic, all he can do is jump and bounce, everyone loves that hedgehog. But that melts away thanks to the incredibly fresh gameplay that will have you playing it over and over again, finding cool new secrets along the way. It will never die.
The graphics are not the greatest, but should have satisfied most gamers back then, considering it wasn't pixelised 3D graphics, the graphics blend in with the backgrounds to create well-designed levels to keep you from falling asleep.
The music is relative and sometimes repetitive at times, but they do fit the levels and are also above satisfactory.
The game is incredibly hard to find nowadays and should not be missed by anyone who walks by it. It is a true gem of game.
