a pretty decent puzzle game, but it could have been much better.
your objective is to pretty much run around each "maze" and collect 15 treasure chests, to get the key and unlock the door to the next level. you dig holes to capture enemys, and you can bury them(kill them). there are a few other weapons but, there really isnt much other than that.
the graphics, really, are nothing special. it looks no different than an average nes game, which probobly doesnt help its reputation as 16 bit. the graphics are pretty dull. its just a birds eye view, no special effects, no nothing.
the music is kind of neat. it decently matches the different stages. there isnt much to say though.
there really arent alot of sound effects either. just attack noises and dings when you get treasure chests. again, not much to say.
the gameplay is pretty fun. its quite entertaining running around killing blobs and obtaining treasure chests. the levels get bigger and bigger and take more time to complete, and it stays pretty fresh.
there is a fair amount of replay value here. i definetly go back every once in a while to play.
altogether, its hard to review this one, because theres not much to say. it is a pretty good game, though it feels way to much like bomber man, which is also created by hudson soft ( i think not sure, but i think). altogether, i would recommend this game. its pretty entertaining, and worth checking out.
