Crazy Taxi is an interesting game. It’s a good port from the arcade version of the game. That’s about the best thing in regards to this game. All of the cab drivers from the original game are back in the console version of this game. The basic game play is present as well. Pick up a fare according to the difficulty you want and drive them to their destination before time runs out. Get the fare to the destination on time and you get paid and a time bonus. Run out of time and the fare will let you know with an appropriate response. After the game play gets old…which can be pretty quick…the allure of the game is lost. There are a couple of extra game play options but none of them pull you back into the game too well. Overall this is just an average game. Unless you’re a big fan of the arcade game, this should be a rental for about one weekend…maybe 2 if you really like it.
