...so I beheld the king of all strategy games and trembled, for he was bright as the blazing sun! Glory to thee Paradox!

I know I overstate the "king of all strategy games" part, but at this point it is a true description of what I feel about this game. This is Paradox's shining moment - Crusader Kings 2 surely is the most polished and optimized grand strategy experience that Paradox has offered so far. So many of the "I wished it were so" feelings I used have while playing the first Crusader Kings, have been fulfilled by its successor. Raising a dynasty from its humble beginnings to the masters of a glorious medieval empire, with the all the plotting, backstabbing, warring and diplomacy you would expect from a saga of the feudal ages - a most grand fantasy any amateur historian could have, is made true by this brilliant game. And the best thing is that it not only feels authentic (which has always been Paradox's strength), it is also most accessible (or at least as much as something so complex can be) with its lengthy tutorial and numerous help screens. And it is also most stable and reasonably bug free. Here and there I have noticed a few strange occurrences, such as my council members quitting suddenly only to be rehired obediently right away, and a few strange design decisions, but all that fades towards the blurry edges of perception in that moment when the grand scheme set in motion by your grandfather comes to fruition as you sheath your bloody sword after a brutal conquest of your neighbor's kingdom. And that is but one of the many legendary things you can experience in this game. Try it my fellow grand strategists and Paradoxians.
