New Fresh Idea's...Poorly Executed.
Though putting that aside, Lets move onto gameplay.
Now the First thing I noticed different in this game was its health system, Inner and outer.
Inner Heat is like you're Health.
While The Outer is....pretty much just for show really, never found much meaning to it since it goes down to practicaly nothing once you're away from a heat source, but that makes sense at least.
This health system has a somewhat realistic feel to it, you wont find random first aid kids lying around the ship, and you're in a frozen wasteland, keeping warm is top priority.
Reliving the past and 'saving' the souls of the dead crew is another thing that is interesting and entertaining, a good way of showing just what happened to the ship without having to just randomly cut to a cutscene.
The Combat...its rather disapointing really, just run around and mash the mouse button, no real strategy to it, but it can be forgiven easily thanks to the wonderful sound effects.
The Story is interesting even if you're not into Sci-Fi.
Last Words, I wouldn't say that Cryostasis is a GREAT GAME, but I will say that It deserves a solid rental and a consideration for buying it.
People Who are just curious should rent it.
People who are into Sci-Fi and a little bit of scare factor, should definetly buy this game.
