Its great but... could be better

User Rating: 6 | Crysis 2 PC
The main reason i enjoyed the original Crysis was mainly because it had a wide open world and i had a variety of ways to move about the Island. One aspect i liked about it was that it always had check points or should i say locations in the map where you had to update your mission by downloading data that acted as a key to what you are supposed to do. Crysis 2 just narrows you into the campaign and you are forced to execute your foes or just avoid them by turning invisible. Why can't i hop on to a jeep like in the original Crysis then drive off to rendezvous point?

The game controls in Crysis 2 are well polished but they seem to have been made better for consoles. This was a very unwise move by the developer. Guns feel fun and quite effective, that's if you know how to aim well. I don't know why they decided to force you to shoot through cover when leaning on a wall though.

To be honest, the nano suit felt great, the sound of bullets making noise like they are hitting a shield when you choose amour mode and when enemy soldiers marvel at how the player is like a 'walking tank' made the game-play fairly enjoyable. I gotta say the game looked pretty good and no one needs a high end PC to run it. The only bug i had in the game was where my Ceph points constantly remained to Zero even though i killed many of them. This was frustrating but the problem was resolved when i reloaded a previous save point. Many gamers say there are others, but to me this was the only bug i had.

Overall, Crysis 2 is great, but does not have a better replay value than it's predecessor. It only has instant action death match and the servers are always limited to few players for some reason. The original crysis has better online game-play value and you not only have instant action at your hands, but you also take up on a power struggle. You fight for resources with a team using tanks, vtols, choppers and various arsenal which you may purchase after showing your worth in a fight. Crysis is still installed on my computer to this date because it's multiplayer is 10 times more enjoyable than Crysis 2's.
