A good shooter but no match to Half life 2 in terms of depth, action and atmosphere.
The physics engine (Cry engine 3) is not as good as it sounds, honestly the only interactions you can have with your environment are V for power kicking stuff around and F for grabbing stuff (which is useless). I remember Half-life's 2 engine (havok) was much richer and more immersive.
Secondly the gameplay. It gives great chances for some good shooting action, however why the limitation of having to choose only 2 guns? Further, the gun design and choice is also somewhat limited as well.
Vehicle driving is quite annoying too, I haven't finished the game yet but when you get to drive that big tank looking thing, is very awkward to maneuver and shoot at the same time. I remember in half life 2, driving vehicles was a blast!
In conclusion, the depth of vehicles, weapons and characters, as well as the superb action and atmosphere you come across in Half life 2, cannot even be compared with Crysis 2.
