Amazing graphical display and great music background, but less than thrilling story line and game play!

User Rating: 8 | Crysis 2 X360
If you played the first Crysis, then you'd be some what disappointed in the overall game play and story line in this game. The first Crysis had a very interesting story that captivate you from the beginning all the way to the end. The AI were also smarter, and didn't get stuck running into walls or vehicles. Absent of the dual wield from the first game also made it less enjoyable to use a handgun.

The graphics display in this game is probably the most insane you'll ever see on an X-box game. With buildings, streets, and almost everything collapsing at many moments thorough out the game. A shear breath taking sight to see during game play. The Marines look great, while the Aliens still look kind of less creative, with basically just two different versions you fight in the game. Absents of a mini-boss like fight also makes it less challenging despite playing on Veteran.

The overall gameplay is decent, but often times the fire fight is too wild with not much coordination from the Marines. You can easily get lost with what the heck is going on, due to the Aliens being able to jump every where. You will also find yourself sneaking through most of the Humans enemies for stealth kills, while better of off just engaging the Aliens in an all out fire-fight. The bigger Alien I find fun to kill, when sneaking up on him in cloak and planting a couple of c-4 on it. Their are plenty of different type machine guns you get through out but the one's you get later are the more enjoyable. Having the ability to modify the muzzle and scope is also a plus. Being able to jump on top of most platforms is also very fun to do, when positioning yourself for better kills.

The story line I find to be very boring. The first few missions are very slow, and has you wondering where's the action at. The story picks up at little bit later since Hargreave is probably the only interesting Character in the entire game. The overall story was never captivating because it was missing a mystery element to it and lack of other characters to identify with. Alcatraz also never talks like the previous Crysis star Nomad. This makes Alcatraz seem like a zombie, just walking pass infected and injured civilians without noticing the carnage. You really don't get that feeling in this game like your the guy that is going to save the day, like the Master Chief in Halo.

In summary you'll remember this more for the amazing graphical destruction of New York City and Manhattan under siege by Aliens, than for the game play and story.
