A good balance of narritive and action to make a worth game.
Crysis 2 is not your typical first person shooter. It is more like Vanquish. It is actually less about the gun and skill with shooting and more about the fast paced, mech fighter shooting game. Which is why I go personally attached to this game over other games like the Call of Duty franchise or Metal of Honour. Crysis 2 puts you in control of a character who is discribed as a walk corpse only kept alive by the suit and he is the last hope for the world. Sounds simple, but the narritive in the game takes you on an epic struggle with not only "the hero" facing off against an intelligent allien race, but facing off against his own flesh and race. Often you feel emotion from your character that you don't normally feel in a video game. You feel the loneliness of the character in fallen New York and his struggle for survival and to find purpose in a destroyed world that has no room for him.
Again Crysis 2 broke some up barriers in terms of narritive, but it is far from revolutionary. And there are areas in the gam where you could see improvements. The AI's are not always the smartest, and when the game came out for 59.99 PC verison, it is not really worth it for the 8-10 hour campainge. But for a game that you can now find at a good price it is worth a play through. And you may play through the game more then once.. I know I did and you will still enjoy the story every now and then. And not to say this is one of the best looking games I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and definatly play through this one.
