When I think of a sandbox I think of games like GTA or Far Cry. A huge open environment where you can do what you want when you want. Crysis 3's idea of a sandbox means 2 or 3 different ways to end up at the same place. You'll be mesmerized by the gorgeous shaders but there's really no strategy to the game. Mark your enemies with the visor then pick them off one by one. Repeat when more spawn around you then head to the next checkpoint. Towards the end the spaces open up and you're not just stuck in a concrete canyon but the fights remain the same. The ending was cool but expected. Crysis has and always will be the standard graphics will be compared to and this one blows everything else out of the water. Story on the other hand is lacking and you feel like you're just being pushed to the next set piece. I forgave this game most of its faults when I saw the water. Sweet baby jeebus there's caustics. Awwwww yissssss. I need a new video card.
