Despite the lack of multiplayer, CRYSIS definitely is a classic and masterpiece!

It's a bit disappointing that CRYSIS 2 hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 before CRYSIS did. Kids who are playing COD games and preparing to buy Battlefield 3 missed out on the gem that is CRYSIS when it was originally released. Back then, you needed a PC that cost roughly $1500 to run it. Now, Crysis has been brought almost entirely in tact to the consoles.

I say "almost" because the port isn't perfect. There is no multiplayer or coop gameplay and the control scheme mapped to the 360 and PS3 isn't perfect. Considering CRYSIS 2 almost perfectly implemented the numerous nanosuit functions and controls onto the controller, it's odd that CRYSIS' controls aren't mapped the same way. For example - switching between weapons feels clumsy this time around.

As far as graphics go, CRYSIS isn't "PC perfect" but, it's so damned close you might not notice the difference. The massive amounts of foilage that made up the Lingshan Island jungles is still there and it's glorious. Lighting effects, water ripples, skin textures and shadows aren't perfect, but, they look so good, it won't matter.

You'll be too busy murdering North Koreans to even bother to look closely at the graphics anyway. The enemy is brutal and intelligent. They will flank your position and won't give up till your dead. I am playing on the hardest difficulty and it feels challenging.

CRYSIS takes up about 5 GB on your hard Drive. If you haven't played it, but, love first person shooters, this is one singleplayer experience you won't want to pass on.
