Not too bad a game, something to jump into every now and then for a little bit of retro blasting.

This was advertised up on the marketplace last night and as I have bought all the other games so far I figured I may as well go for this one as well.

The first thing that struck me was that it was like a less hectic version of Geometry Wars but with a few more things to do other than shoot.

You start the game with a small ball that you manouver around the screen using the left analogue stick. The right stick controls the ships guns which fire when you wiggle it around. So far, very Geometry Wars indeed.

The differences come when you have to fly your little ball over stars to make them disappear. Sounds easy right? No, to hamper your efforts there are things (for want of a better word) on either side of the arena that shoot out other ships that either try and fly into you or shoot at you or leave little mines around the place.

Suffice it to say, if any of these things hit you then you loose a life. To help you along you can pick up smart bombs, which when activated, destroys everything on the screen. Handy for clearing the mines away which look a little bit like the stars that you have to collect.

Once you have collected all the stars, then a door opens at the bottom of the screen and you fly through it to get to the next level.

That is about all there is to it really, nothing too complicated and for me anyway, a little bit of fun. I don't think it comes close to Geometry Wars but then I can't imagine much ever will.

This game is worth the money though, it is only 400 points and does provide some entertainment that should keep you coming back for more, just not too often.
