The only reason I even finished the game is because I'm such a masochist.
The story? Unfortunately, local storytelling is SO tedious I was literally forced to skip every single cutscene to jump at me, and as for those collectable books - they are everything but a good read, so after reading the first one I quickly forgot about their existence altogether. So ultimately I actually haven't the slightest clue what was going on in the game and why.
Music? Where?
The whole sound design sucks, to be honest. The ghost buzz about as good as they can, but the best it can make you do is...giggle a bit. The sound effects of that magical ice axe are plain weird, but that could easily be on purpose. The voice acting is obviously out of this world bad, but who cares, right?
As for the actual gameplay...*coughs*...it's completely unbelievable. The game often seems to be trying to play on a realistic note (different animations while running down the stairs and up the stairs, various interactions all around...), but as soon you stumble upon a small wall, which the main hero could clearly simply climb over without even lifting his feet too high, that's a no no. Nope, it's far more logical to run through an entire village, killing gazillions of ghosts, searching gazillions of cottages and climbing gazillions of ladders on the way, only to get to the other side of that small tiny cute wall. That's some orgasm material right there. It's just plain messed up. The dude can jump over a two meters long gap between two roofs, but crossing a half-meter wide river flow is naturally impossible. In such cases, you have to find a pair of stones to walk over. I don't even mention the amazing stereotype of absolutely everything. I also rather don't mention the zero difficulty of the game (as the ghosts are even slower than the blonde dude you're controlling). The extreme linearity also ain't worth mentioning. As a matter of fact, I'm happy for that, as I can hardly imagine some blind wandering with such tempo in such settings. I had a cool closure to this comment up my mind, but goddammit I forgot.
+ Pretty solid controls (except for the times when the camera, for no apparent reason, fixes itself somewhere. In such cases, the controls **** themselves up), All in all about ten minutes of solid atmosphere
- I also had a nice couple words to write in here up my mind, but even those just flew away and I forgot. Crap!
