Base Wars, a baseball game for everyone even if you are NOT a sports fan…… This game is at first sight a simple baseball game played by robots. Truth is it’s much more, it has the elements of an RPG, fighting, breeding, and more….. Baseball played with robots allows the possibility for extreme violence and so it was, you have several customizing options that include team name, weapons, parts and several types of robots including Cyborgs: a human shape robot, Mcycles: a Cyborg with a wheel instead of legs, Tanks: Cyborgs with tank treads instead of legs and Flybots: cyborgs that hover with a flying saucer instead of legs The games basics are hit ball run bases and if it’s caught you’re out BUT if you get tagged at a base or mid run it’s a fight to the death instead of an out If you do the season 2 player it plays to the fullest, you win games you get money to upgrade your team making your team the strongest and most powerful will give you an advantage against your buddy If all you want to do is exhibition then the game is less involving but I would suggest using the edit team and naming them both “Terminator” and you get upgraded units and both teams have lazar weapons The games music is fun the sound itself is GREAT! It’s one of the VERY few NES games that have voiceovers and the graphics are great for an NES game the one problem is replay value is low if you want to play alone because the AI is awful…
