My first Kinect experience was seeing this game at a friend's game night. The first thing that sucked me in was just how engaging the game was and seemingly simple to play. The dancers on screen are so unbelievably fluid and life-like that they really draw you into what's going on. Their individual personality types are also entertaining and have you finding yourself picking favorites. Throw in the great list of loaded songs/routines at various difficulty settings, the Break it down mode and the ability to buy new songs/routines from xbox live and you have one amazing game. The song's range from dance-club alternative to club hip-hop. What's great about the songs are that they're all like-able if you're a hip-hop head that doesn't like alternative or vice versa. I love how the game really utilizes the kinect's body reading abilities. When you're not fully doing a move correctly, it give your partial credit and simply highlights the body part in red that's out of sync. This is really amazing and really lets you know how you're doing with these dance moves. The dances are not 6th grade pom-pom routines either, they are real accomplished moves that require some real effort.
This game made me go out and buy the xbox just for the kincect. And knowing the Michael Jackson game will be very similar is very exciting. Great game, get it!
