Good game, but could be better.

So…where to begin? This game is good, like HP1, but there are too many similarities…to start with, the characters are the same, with some new additions. Not saying this is a bad thing, but there could be more new characters. Being able to use your mii's as a character is very interesting and can lead to some funny results, especially if you use you male mii and put a female character's body with it. The dancing animations sucked, as usual and no change from HP1. To me it seems like the developers decided to make random animations that match the beat. For game play, the dancing is very fun, and I liked the dancing, and some of the songs. In my opinion, the unlockable songs are better than the songs that are immediately playable. Now that I've unlocked every song that there is, I only play them, and occasionally play the original songs for a cool down or warm-up. One thing I really hated was that you sill have those silly-ass gimmicks and hand motions. I HATE THOSE THINGS!!! So dumb…you need to play DDR as it was meant to be played. I also did like how you can use the mats from all the other DDR games that used a mat with a GCN port. I used the mat from HP1 and Mario Mix. Now I have 3 mats and can kind of beat all my friends when they come over. XD I didn't really like how easy it was to unlock all the songs, I thought it was too easy. Now remember, my first DDR game I ever played was HP1, and I got the Mario Mix mat from my cousin, who bought it and is pro at it. I've only played DDR for about half a year, so if I thought that unlocking all the songs was easy, then I think that it was too easy. All in all, I think that this game was pretty good. I would recommend this game to anybody that wants to buy a good rhythm game, or just wants to try out DDR.
