User Rating: 9.3 | Dance Dance Revolution with Mario GC
Gameplay- Well, it's DDR, you step on the arrows on the pad as it gets to the top of the screen. However, there are many Mario quirks. For instance, the Mush Mode add enemies along with the arrow (i.e., stepping on goombas and bullet bill, etc.). There are also mini-games which add more Mario flavor to this title. However, this game is pretty easy, and DDR veterans could beat the super hard difficulty with ease.
Graphics- For the most part, they're average. Then again, you will be only looking at the arrows if you're playing. It is cool to see Mario and Bowser do cool flips and other dance moves.
Audio- Most of the music in the music are remixes of Mario tunes from games like Warioworld, Dr. Mario, and the Super Mario series. There are also remixes of classical music, like the Turkish March with a disco theme. The sound effects also sound very Marioesque.
Value- If you fall in love with this game, you can play it for a long time because there is just enough songs to kepp you from getting bored. This would be very good in a party because of its easy difficulty.
Tilt (Innovation)- There are lots of quirks in this game that apply seamlessly to DDR, other than the mush mode and mini-games. There is a story mode, which can be confusing but cool nonetheless. Now you have a reason for dancing. There are also items which you can use in story mode by getting coins in songs and mini-games. They can add to your dance meter or stop it from depleting. I hope other popular franchises can do this, too. It would be cool to see Link in a DDR game.
