D.D.R. mario mix is a nice contribution to the game cube world ( finally a DDR for GC[unless i missed one]). But as for different varieties of songs, this game comes off as a bit of a dissappointment. This game is mainly of tunes from other mario games, such as super mario bros. mario kart and mario party, with maybe an exception of six songs from others ( mozart and twinkle little star, as example). If nintendo maybe took a dance list of a more open variety, it would appeal to more than just mario fans. Don't get me wrong though, most of the songs on the list are fun, catchy rythms that are cool to play numerous times. The story doesn't really add much to the game, but what kind of story would you expect from a DDR anyway? The mini games added are kind of pointless, with the exceptional one or two good ones,such as the trampoline minigame.The difficulty has a good set of ranges from easy to super hard ( you can't even see your own feet!)Your friends will love it, and it will save hundreds of dollars from the arcade.
