Great songs and foot-stomping action, but the visualizations are extremely disappointing.
Just about everyone now knows about DDR, and it continues with DDR Ultramix 3, with the same original "arrow beat" gameplay. You can't have any fun if you play this game without the dancepad...ask anyone.
This game sticks to the original DDR play mode, but it has new features, like freestyle, where you choose a song, and dace at your own pace, or quest mode, where you play as a chosen character, and you travel North America, from Iqualuit to Honolulu in a goal to become the best dancer in the world.
This is a nice feature, but it's a shame that your ratings ( A,B,C, etc.) don't show up on your scores.
How about the music? The overall soundtrack contains about 70 songs, including unlockables, so you'll definately be hunting for those.
Famous bands make their way to DDRU3 as: B-52`s-Rock Lobster, Run DMC- Walk This Way, and Devo-Whip It
It would be nice to have more songs that would make you crave danceing, instead of just singing.
The biggest disappointment is the visualizations. There are a few songs that just have their music videos, which doesnt get you pumped at all, and when you do get visualizations, you'll probably only actually really like two.
They're not as distorting and strage as before, however on some of the fast *** songs, you can mess up quite easily
Overall this game rocks, you really do need to get it. While the Visualizations aren't the greatest and it would be nice to have more colorful music, this game is amazing in multiplayer, and should keep you entertained for life.
