Really makes an arcade

User Rating: 9.3 | Dance Dance Revolution ARC
When the DDR craze first started, I stepped back and thought that it seemed cool but weird. Then I actually tried it and realized how fun it really was. The game gave people a more interactive form of video gaming and pulled crowds into the arcades. At every DDR machine, there are at least 10 people standing around watching the one or two people playing.

The one problem I have is that there are people who play for fun and those who are so good that they hog all of the fun from even stepping up. I personally have no coordination, but can still have a great time when it is me and a friend. If it is me and another "expert", then I tend to back off or feel crappy after finishing.

The game has raised the bar for interactive gaming and I think that the move to the Playstation was a great way to bring the game to those who feel more comfortable playing on their own.
