Witty dialog and retro graphics make this game enjoyable, but frustrating controls hold it back.

User Rating: 7.5 | Dangeresque - Roomisode 1: Behind the Dangerdesque FLA
This game was the precursor to Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Strong Bad plays Dangeresque, a private detective. His boss won't let him out of the room until his latest case is solved. Thus, the entire game takes place inside Dangeresque's office. The game style is a point and click adventure, with WASD movement controls. The dialog is quite funny, and in keeping with the quality of humour from the later Strong Bad episodes. The only really annoying thing about the game is its control. He won't interact with any objects unless he is standing right next to them. The walking controls are the same as in Yahtzee's game Trilby's Notes. One press of any direction key and the character will walk in a particular direction until he hits an object or you press another button. As such, walking is sometimes very fiddly.
The game can be completed in around 10 minutes, possibly less for Point and Click veterans.
At the end you are rewarded with a miniscule lo-fi sound clip of the hero's catch phrase: "Looks like we're going to have to jump!"
Fun for a lunch break, maybe not much more than that.
