Dante's Inferno is an awesome game that delivers a driving mass of pure hell to your eyes. The artwork is jaw dropping. The gameplay is fast and furious. Yes, so what if it's a God of War clone. What does that mean? A 360 degrees platformer?
Conan, Bayonetta, Force Unleashed, Brutal Legend, Darksiders.. there's more that have come through with this engine, and for Dante's Inferno to be reviewed on the strength of it being a clone of the first of it's kind, is just not a correct review at all.
That aside in in the toilet, you'll find Dante to be a work of total crafted genius. This is quite simply the best vision of hell of all time. Ok, so it doesn't quite follow the poem to it's natural glory but let's get one thing clear here. If they haven't been able to make a movie in the last hundreds of years - or a reasonable comic up until now, then how do you make a video game from that type of source literature? I'll tell you how. It's on the shelves right now and it's called Dante's Inferno. It's a major synaptic visual influence and representation unlike anything we've ever seen before. Keep that in mind. It is a major influence right up to the map that Alighieri unleashed upon us back in the 13th century.
The inferno has been unleashed upon us now and Dante needs your assistance immediately. Send him through the nine circles and craft his destiny with a great range of holy or unholy fury powerups, special moves that are glistening with wrath - and relics to boost his abilities. This game truly kicks ass for both God and Satan fans alike.
