Excessive grinding requirements ruin what would otherwise be a pretty good game. While having multiple characters seems like it should be an improvement, in practice, it just ends up meaning you have to grind a bunch to level at least 3 characters (depending on whether you chose to deal with the poorly executed monster transformation mechanic). The voice acting is questionable, with the tone of the voice acting rarely matching the tone of the scene, and the writing is pretty poor. The music is pretty bad too. The graphics still look good 3 years after release, which is saying something, but that's not really enough to redeem this game. Overall, you can spend alot of time on this game, but most of it will just be mindless grinding, and how you feel about that will be the #1 factor in how much you like this game.
