Excellent!!!
The fighting style is and action RPG (kinda what people would call a hack and slash RPG) but also it takes strategy and items and to know when not to fight that makes this game interesting. You must understand that not every battle can be won by swing around your weapon it must be done with style and class.
This game is easy to get caught up in and forget about the time (I know i missed many a-day at school SHHH.... dont tell) but seriously it sucks you in you just want to play more and more of the game.
You also use spheres to upgrade your weapons and make them stronger which allows you to get through those harder battles (believe me the battles get hard). And this makes for a more enjoyable game because you always want that next weapon or that next character and you strive to get them.
Your second character you get is a cat turned human by a magic liquid (Yes a cat fluffy ears tail and every thing) and she can jump across gaps toan (your main character) can't get across. Thats what makes Dark Cloud what it is because at one time or another you will use every single one of you characters to advance in the story and make it to the final stage.
All and all this game is worth playing and worth buying my final score on it is an 8.5. So if I can suggest one thing at least rent it and see what i mean
