You dare to play?

First of all this, game is hard. I know you probably heard this before but let's say that this game is kinda "fair hard", The first hours is a true struggle to keep going, where you're trying to master the game mechanics. But when you discover how the game works, it's not actually that hard, if you die, you know you messed up something.

The basic mechanics of the game works perfectly. Each weapon, shield, magic, and armour feels completely natural. In combat, details like the lenght, weight and every one of the stats (Trust me when i say that there are a lot of them) of your weapons makes difference.

Character build is something to think a lot about. If you mess it up, your character is probably going to suck. Which weapon, armour and ring to choose makes a huge impact in your gameplay.

The combat is as perfect as a action RPG can get. You got to manage your stamina, your time to heal and others aspects. It's fair to say that every tactic you use to go through a rough part is a valid one. Lure single enemies to fight them alone, killing with bows and item usage, everything was meant to be used, and you should.

The world is completly amasing, every section is something unique and dark. Every corner you just rise your shield and hope for the best. The boss fights are unique. You are face to face with the fog wall and you wonder if there is, or isn't a boss there. You go through and a giant horrendous beast awaits you on the other side. Again choosing your equipment correctly is the difference between succeding and facing "YOU ARE DEAD" again. Interesting enough, some bosses are not meant to fight them face to face, and you gotta thing how to defeat them. Don't get me wrong, you can face them farily, but a higly recomend you don't.

Some little details about the lore in the game are a wonder. Like (SPOILER ALERT) killing skeletons with divine weapons prevents them from ressurecting. Or using a especific talisman so that you're able to hit some spirits.

The game is a true japanese game, it's wonderfull, frightening, weird and mostly amazing.

Yes the game has some bugs, some glitches, the frame rate drops in some locations. But the game is so amazingly awesome, that you just let it go ( No elsa, not your music), and enjoy it.

Every boss you defeat, every hard section you go through, gives you a sense of accomplishment, and makes you wanna play more and more.

It's a game with simple mechanics, you don't have some ultra awesome difficult combos to perform. But it's simplicity is made with so much mastery, that it becomes complex. I don't know if that makes any sense, but if you played it, you would understand.

This game is essencial, and one of the best games i ever played, and you should give it a chance. When a say give it a chance, it's not play 5 hours, die a hundred times, curse it and say it's a terrible game. Give it a couple dozen hours and you will experience some of the greatest games in history.
