I was almost giving up on gaming because the industry is shattering with the boredom of FPS, Blockbuster Movie-Games and Too much focus on graphics/Story in almost every game nowadays. I kept telling myself, "Where is all the gameplay?" 75% of Games this generation have been 'all flash, no substance' and I was sick of pressing 'x' to have the player unleash a combo of completing a whole game stage, without doing the most important thing a game should do in the first place for the player, let them play! Then, from playing Assassins Creed 3 and it almost being the end of paying £45 a game, I heard about Dark Souls.
