Making a hard game harder, in a good way.

I have played Demon's Souls for almost a couple years now, I bought it soon after it came out and fell in love with it. Now Dark Souls is out, the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. Dark Souls has improved upon much of what made Demon's Souls so great, from the online features to the over all feel of the combat. Dark Souls is one of those rare games that does not hold your hand like most games do nowadays. Like Demon's Souls, Dark Souls pretty much puts you in the middle of the world and says play. The player has to discover how to play on their own. This mean learning from your mistakes and you will make plenty through out your play-through of the game. Dark Souls combat is about patience and timing. You should not go into a fight button mashing the attack button, this will lead you to an inevitable death. Instead go into every fight with your shield up. If you do this let the enemy make the first move, they will recoil after the attack and that makes them open to your counter-attack. Make sure when doing this back up when your stamina is love because stamina is everything on this game. Online is even better than on Demon's Souls. With more options like giving other players boosts in their abilities health wise and other ways as well. You do all this when at a campsite which is used to heal your character, but in the process revives all enemies, so there is consequences to your actions as well. In my opinion Dark Souls is even better than Demon's Souls, harder too, which makes the rewards even more....Rewarding.
