Good game to occupy an afternoon

User Rating: 7 | Dark Void PC
Relatively high control scheme learning curve aside, it a very fun game. Kind of reminds me of "The Rocketeer" and "The Matrix" mixed together on steroids.

Plot: is rather murky and by the end of the game, you'll definitely say "I didn't see that coming."

Music: Though immersive, can get rather repetitive quickly.

Replay value: Once the game is over, I don't see any point in going back through, unless you want to get the rest of the journal pieces you might have missed.

What really captures my attention in the game is it's innovation. A jet pack!! Alone, not a whole bunch of games can claim to have one. And "Vertical cover", seeking cover and counter attacking enemies above and below you.

My biggest gripe is with the PC version that may or may not be reflected by it console counterparts. The game bugs out from time to time, for instance I had just gotten into a new level and my player falls over dead for no reason. No enemies around, no hazard areas (Lava, spikes, etc), but upon entering the level again, everything was fine. or another part when a cut scene was playing out a little more than half way through, the screen turn dark and the cut scene starts over from the beginning again, plays through till it's end then the game continues as it always has.

In conclusion, though it has it's flaws, it a fun game to rent, just don't buy it. Gamefly is your friend.
