A fun game but it could have been so much better
The graphics are good and I liked the way that you can utilize various plateaus and ruins, once you have the hover pack to get up to the different levels, to have advantage against the enemy but other than that there's nothing outstanding about the detail in the environments or even in the characters themselves. Once you get the hang of flying with the hover pack, this will take a bit of practice to get used to the controls when aiming and flying at the same time, it's pretty fun to just fly around for a bit and pull off a few special stunts while blasting a couple of UFOs but the normal on the ground combat system is practically identical to the Uncharted series; by that I mean you fire from cover. Although there are some instances in the game where you'll have vertical combat sequences and I thought this was a nice change to normal combat systems and also it's something I hadn't experienced before. I also liked the arsenal in the game, you have 6 fully upgradable weapons plus (my personal favourite) the hover pack which has its own built in machine guns.
Unfortunately one of the weakest aspects of this game is the story and the way it's told, it hasn't got a compelling storyline like say Uncharted or Assassin's Creed (far from it actually) and it's told in a very linear fashion which didn't really keep me interested in it…..I found myself skipping half the movies just to get back to playing the game. The games also rather short, you can complete it in maybe 6-8hours tops and that's including getting everything needed to get the platinum. I've also seen that some people have had problems with various glitches during gameplay but I didn't have any problems myself.
Despite all of this I thought it was a fun game and I enjoyed it but I would say that for anyone who is thinking of getting this game then rent it first…..or seeing how short it is just rent it and don't bother buying it.
