Some parts shine bright, but not bright enough to make this dull game a standout.
The story in a nutshell is that you were flying a plane, and go through a portal into another area of the world, or possibly, the universe, and you have to find help. The only bad thing about this is that they don't tell you anything about the game until hours in, and that makes the opening sequence very bland, especially when your trekking through the same jungles for hours.
The voice acting was fairly decent, and the graphics were great, but the real thing that made me dislike the game was the gameplay. The enemies weren't particularly challenging, all you have to do is wait long enough for the guys to pop up, then shoot until dead, rinse and repeat. There's just not enough action to keep you entertained.
Now for the good... :P
The story idea was great, all it needs is a revamp. I liked the flying segments, and flying around shooting from cover upside down is great and very innovative. The jetpack was fun, and having the ability to fight from ground or air is really cool, but the jetpack needs better controls. I found myself flying around in circles, not being able to find enemies for a minute or two.
Overall, the game had great ideas, but they wasn't able to fit the game around them. If you want to explore an eerie new area set in the 1930-40s, this is the game for you. But I suggest that you rent this one.
