Prince of Persia + Legend of Zelda + Kingdom of Amalur = Darksiders 2
Positives:
1) Great adventure similar to Zelda.
2) Great platforming similar to Prince of Persia.
3) Decent looting and combat system similar to Kingdom of Amalur.
Cons:
1) Chests are always displayed on the mini map. I like to actually "find" my treasures. When the game tells me where things are all the time, then it really takes away from the exploration aspect of the game. At least have an option to turn this off.
2) When I arrived on Earth the game turned into a third person shooter. This is where the game got off track to me. There is tons and tons of enemies thrown at you, leaving you with almost no chances to rest. The shooting feels fine and all, but to me, this part of the game goes on to long. There is a dungeon map chest to get near the end of the level, but honestly, lets not be dumb about it, we were not in a dungeon. But as soon as you get done on Earth, the game goes back to the norm.
3) Puzzles are way to easy, and very repetitive. About 90% of the puzzles in the game involves rolling a ball into an indent in the floor. Plus all of the puzzles are very, very easy to figure out....did I say that already? If there is another Darksiders, the puzzles need some innovation about them.
