Darksiders is not a bad game. But if fails to really bring out anything new into the hack and slash world. But that aside, it is still an very enjoyable game. The action is smooth and pretty straight forward. There isnt really aloth of moves that make you press a hundred buttons to do a ability. The menu system is pretty easy to use while setting up you abilities, and there are a fair share of weapons and items to use. The biggest issues in the game are the controls are not the most responsive and there was a noticeable screen tearing problem. The mood of the game is pretty dark, but all in a bad way. The voice acting, while it is good, lack real emotion, which kind of kills the cut scenes.
Otherwise the game is nothing new and shiny, but is still great fun to play and is a must play for people who love hack and slash games.
