The dark and peculiar cast of the Dark Stalkers series is back to shine on Sony's sleek handheld.

Don't we all just love Capcom fighters? Power Stone, Street Fighter along with Dark Stalkers all just have plenty of fun inside just waiting to be played.

Of course, The Chaos Tower includes all of your favorite characters such as Victor, who could be mistaken as an Olsen Twin when standing next to Frankestein, Lord Raptor, a zombie-rockstar (He probably knew Micheal Jackson) and of course Felicia, everyones favorite practically naked cat-girl. All of the sprites are wonderfully animated and look quite good on your shiny handheld.

A big downer though, is there isn't much of an actual plot apart from the backgrounds of each character. There isn't an 'adventure' mode or much else other than Tower mode. In tower mode, you select three characters and fight your way through quite a large tower. Every fight you win, you'll unlock artwork or something similar that can be found in the extra's section of the game. Not much to look at but better than nothing, right?

Of course, we can't possibly forget the arcade mode. You have a choice of three Dark Stalkers modes (which honestly aren't all that different) to select from before you begin a fight. Next, select your character and kick some ass. You'll fight against a few characters and finally face off against Jedah, the dark, red-eyed reaper. Once you beat arcade mode with a character, you'll be given a small ending scene that I personally found quite horrible... Every character has their own crappy scene which you'll be able to view in the extras section. They're bad, yet let's remember this was just an arcade game.

In conclusion, Dark Stalkers was a solid and decent game. If you're looking for a fighting game on the PSP though, I'd reccomend Street Fighter Alpha 3 instead. If you wouldn't want Street Fighter, by all means, buy this game. Also keep in mind that if you're a fan of fighting games, Dark Stalkers isn't different at all to the average fighter.
