Decent 2-D fighter for anyone with $20 to spare.

Not being a fan of the series, I picked it up having $20 credit at my local Gamestop. It's actually a very good 2-D fighter, I figured i didn't own one yet, so i picked it up. Upon being dissapointed at the false Infrastructure label, i began playing the game. It has a suprisingly good style of gameplay, incorperating every button other than the joystick (nubby thing). The artwork that is unlocked through Tower mode is amazing, very detailed and most are sketched by hand (or so it seems), the movies are from the original games (i think).

There are also some secrets that can be found, i can get them to work al the way through, but they are there. Hidden characters include Oboro Bishamon, Shadow Version of any Character, and Marionette (A character I can't get to work).

The Load times are amazingly fast, less than 20 seconds usually! It's very suprising how strong the hidden combos are in the game. My only Suggestion is to buy the game used or in a bargain bin and visit http://www.capcom.com/darkstalkers/ and select the fighters option, this gives you all the combos found in the game. Although 3 characters are missing from the combo list, it still saves you the few dollars difference between used and new.

Overall, it's a simple game, a little chaotic and with solid gameplay. Overall it was a supprisingly good game, with a very simple overall learning curve.
