It's fun in the beginning, but you'll soon realise how repetitive and shallow this game is.
The side quests are all the same over and over, and usually you'll just go and blast a pirate or criminal.
There's no depth in the game - you'll do the same things all the time: 1) Complete side quest, 2) Free a enslaved system 3) Get the artifact
Basically that's what this game is about. There are some unique side quests (one per star cluster) and the story brings some unique missions, but it's not enough to make it interesting.
There are some good things about Darkstar One. The combat is good, the mouse control works very well. The combat could need more variations though, like more lasers and missiles.
Also, the increase time feature is really useful and saves you a lot of time.
Darkstar one is a game that tries to do a lot of things, but fails on most aspects, but it has some strong points like the combat, and if you want a shallow space shooter it can be fun, at least for a little while.
