Awkward perspectives make this game unplayable.

This game should've stayed on the counsel setting instead of going to the handheld arena. It just didn't work at all for me. I'm sure some people could pick up this game and love it, but I don't feel that way at all. The way the game is set up, the perspectives of the areas are completely off. You feel as though you about the ride a rail and you completely miss it. Also, you try to do a trick on a half-pipe and fall off the edge and bust open your head because it is hard to realize (until your bitter end) that you've moved off the ramp. This system could've been fixed by relying on the simple old-school game "Skate or Die". I remember that game having a similar set up, but it was so much easier to manuver and do tricks in that game. The same with the Tony Hawk games on the GBA. The game doesn't look bad though. You can tell what everything is, and even the riders' photos are fairly decent. It's just perspectives that I had a difficult time with. The sound on the game wasn't bad, but one of the coolest aspects of these types of games on the PS and PS2 is the amazing soundtrack. I missed that on this game. It wasn't there, and the game didn't feel right. You have maybe ten or so songs. Each of them are short clips too. I'd rather here really well placed midis of punk and hip-hop songs than half of a low quality song. I'm sure once you really get into this game and if you play it a lot the controls and perspectives become a lot easier to figure out. But for me it wasn't worth the time. I got bored very easily with this game and just went back to the PS version.
