This Game Will Eat You're Life.

User Rating: 9.5 | Dawn of Discovery PC
When I heard that Ubisoft was making this game, I just let go all hope, I thought "Its Gonna Be Lame" and "Gonna be Only Half Finished" But I was very pleasantly suprised by it.

Anno 1404 Dawn Of Discovery is a highly addictive game that will have you playing forever, or at least until you create a massive kingdome that takes over the entire map.

Gamespot Says that its hard to understand and it has a steep learning curve. I beg to differ.
Yes, its not a 'Pick Up And Play' Game, but its still easy to understand if you just use you're brain. It'll take you a while to learn everything there is to know about the game, but the games Campaign mode is pretty much like one massive Tutorial to teach you all the tricks to creating a Utopia.

Anyway, I'll put it into a simple rating system, and give a few words.

Story - 8.0
While the story isin't the most amazing thing I've ever heard, its good enough to make you feel as if you're actualy doing something and not building a city just for the hell of it. It serves its purpose, and thats good enough for me.

Sound Effects - 10
The Sound Is amazing, everything sounds realistic, the sounds of a lively city. The Sounds of the wind rushing through the forest, the ocean, the ships, the mine workers. Everything sounds amazing, especialy if you have a 5.1 suround sound system. Great Sound effects. Simply Great.

Music - 10
It Fits Everything thats happening on screen. Its just a simple village life, it plays a nice happy tune. Its a green forest, its calm and relaxing, its an impressive large city, the music's epic. I really hope an OST gets released so I can buy it.

Graphics - 10
B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.
Simply Beautiful. Everythings Lively and Colorful. The Shading and Lighting sure bring life to even the darkest of cities.

Gameplay - 10
Dangeriously Addicting. This game will have you playing it for hours upon hours. You'll start at 4PM, and end up not even noticing how the time changes to 1AM.

Final Thougts.
If you enjoy an RTS game, and even if you don't. Buy this game. Ubisoft has finally released a game that is truly worth a full retail price.
Great Game.
