One of the best PSP Game's of all time. An instant classic! Very fun and a great collection for the PSP!
Enough about my story with the game, I'm gonna break down why I think Daxter is such a great game.
~ Gameplay:
The gameplay is really really fun. It has an open world at first, where u go around to different locations to complete different levels. The game flows excellent and you get our upgrades in the perfect times. It also has dream levels were u can learn new moves. The game play is just plain fun with pretty good controls and camera angles and just the right amount of difficulty. Fun for all ages.
~ Graphics + Sound:
One of the best looking PSP games out there. The Ready at Dawn Studio game team made a console game fit perfectly into the PSP. The colors are rich and bright, and the picture is always crisp. The music sets the mood very well, and the voice acting is on point. Daxter's voice was sometimes a lil annoying for me, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt that it's audience target was of the younger crowd.
~ Story:
I've never played much of Jak & Daxter ps2 games, but the story for Daxter on the psp made perfect sense and gives players motivation to continue. Story flows well throughout the game.
~ Value:
Since I was in a rush to sell the game at first, I did't notice that the game had a great replay value. Since the game is large with many different levels, it really is fun to go back and play it again a 2nd or 3rd time around. You even can be rewarded with gathering orbs you didnt see the first time, enabling you to unlock extras from the game like videos or art work.
~ Overall:
Overall this game is amazing for the PSP. A real fun game and classic for PSP owners. You should defintely add this game to your collection, especially for the price it's going around now: $15 on average. Its a real fun game, probably better than most people would expect. Don't be discourage to play it because it seems 'kiddish' because its not. The gameplay and levels are fantastic. The environments are wonderful and unique. And it truly is a fun adventure!
