Feels just like the original. Nothing wrong with that.

Mark Walton's review is a poor description of this game. The problem here seems to be that people were expecting this game to go above and beyond the original. Those who say this is a bad game don't understand what Dead Island is all about, so allow me to explain what it's about. Dead Island is about completing quests, leveling up, chopping up zombies and creating bad-ass weapons. It's not about the voice acting, it's not about the story, and it's not about sympathizing with the characters. Mark Walton mentioned a shortage of action and far to many fetch quests, true there are a lot of fetch quests but you do encounter hordes, small groups and super strong (thug) zombies during these quests. The one thing that was added to the game is the online co-op feature, an nice addition to the game, but not really necessary. I haven't been able to put this game away and I seriously hope to see a sequel that pisses Mark Walton off.
