I rented this game for a weekend, and my buddy and I played the whole weekend. We had already played and beat the first Dead Island and really enjoyed it. I have to say the second one hasn't changed a whole lot in terms of gameplay and mission structure, but that's why I love it! I found the first game highly addictive, and I feel the same about this one. Missions can get somewhat annoying when they have you going back and forth across the entire map over and over, but it's the collecting, modding, and slashing that keeps me playing. If you enjoyed the first Dead Island, definitely give this one a try. I did and now I feel I must buy it. I'm not sure how the story is, because it's easy to get side tracked from it due to all the various side missions that keep coming up. To me, there's not much of a story but for some reason it doesn't bother me too much with this game. Some of the dialogue can be humorous as well. I give it a 9.5 out of 10, but this is also the type of game I enjoy playing, especially with a co-op friend.
