No risks are taken,but DOA3 gave the franchise a HUGE popularity boost,and was the best looking xbox launch game.
Well DOA3 kind of is DOA2,but with different levels,better graphics and three new great characters;Brad Wong,Hitomi and Christie.Returning favorites Kasumi and Ryu are back of course along with many others.
The game is very easy compared to Team Ninja's newer games.Its really easy to reverse now and the AI feels toned down.A bunch of modes return,such as the amazing tag mode and others such as time attack,story and survival.The story mode is fun.Each character gets there own CG ending,and those look pretty amazing even now.
There is not a whole lot to keep you coming back to this one,but its really easy to just pick up and play,so you may find yourself popping it in for short periods of time.
Dead or Alive 3 has an awesome soundtrack and some amazing sound effects.Aerosmith contributes some "Amazing" music,and this is one of the games top highlights.
In 2001 DOA3 stole the show with its visuals.The shine off the characters costumes,the detail in the level design,the huge levels and the amazing looking characters blew everyone away.And still kind of do today.
I would not say this game took a step backwards,but it didn't really move upwards either.But it is still a great fighting game that is well worth picking up.
