Great value for money and very accessible.

Dead or Alive Ultimate's graphics are fantastic. The graphics for both the two games players get both look great but while Dead or Alive 1's graphics weren't touched Dead or Alive 2's graphics got a nice update which is where the real treat is. All the combat arenas look fantastic and really work in the games favour because everything looks as it should. Grass look like grass and so forth. The effects for things like explosions and lightning all look spot on and feel very natural and not out of place or faked in anyway what so ever. Even the character models look life like but the women seem to share the same face model but that doesn't matter. Either way they all look great with the women being the main attraction.

Dead or Alive Ultimate's gameplay is simple and very accessible to even new players of the series. Players can easily change from a punch attack to a kick attack at the press of a button and even combo together relatively easily. While the more advanced moves will take time to learn and master but that's a given with all fighting games. However Dead or Alive 1's controls may take some getting used to as they use the D-pad and the responsiveness of the controls is a little slower. The fighting itself is very well done and there is a lot of attention to detail to fighting styles in both their execution and movements.

Dead or Alive Ultimate's features are quite interesting but are mainly for Dead or Alive 2. The really interesting feature for Dead or Alive 2 is that players can unlock a whole bunch of costumes, images from Dead or Alive beach volleyball, an interview with Dead or Alive's creator and even use the data as booster disk for Dead or Alive 3. Of course a certain condition must be met before players can see all of these goodies. On top of that the main variety of the costumes are for the girls that range from full coverage costumes right down to bikinis. Players can also get two special character cards if they get Dead or Alive Ultimate new. These aren't playing cards but they are collectables none the less. Another nice feature is the intro movie for Dead or Alive 2 that really helps explain the back story of Ayane and Kasumi quite well.

Dead or Alive Ultimate's audio is pretty solid but has one main issue. The issue is that there is no English audio channel in Dead or Alive Ultimate what so ever. Luckily this isn't that big of an issue thanks to some very nice and big subtitles that can be easily read. While the subtitles are distracting it's not that big of deal. The music really matches the theme of each battle quite well but can become annoying after a number of play throughs'.

Overall Dead or Alive Ultimate is a very easily recommendable title that is sure to please players.
