User Rating: 8.5 | Dead Rising 2: Case Zero X360
Case Zero is a Arcade game, that you can only buy on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. For a lousy 400 points you get a taste what Dead Rising 2 is about. You also keep everything you earned in Case Zero, to get a head start when you play Dead Rising 2.

Story

You play Chuck Greene a normal guy, who just want to save his daughter Katey and escape the zombie onslaught. Katey has been bitten by her mother, who was a zombie. And the only way you can save her is giving her a temporally antidote named Zombrex, that keeps here save for the next 12 hours.

You arrive at a small town called Still Creek, you car is almost out of fuel so you stop at the nearest tank station. After you give Katey a shot of Zombrex you head inside with her, after a while you go outside to look around, and then your car gets hijacked. And with it all the Zombrex, you had for your daughter.

At that point you are surrounded by zombies, and you head into the empty tank station. You close of the door and then after a short cut scene, you take your first control over Chuck.

Gameplay

Your first objective is to get some new Zombrex, because you only have 12 hours left. Too get your daughter a new dose of Zombrex, before she turns into a zombie. You are thrown right into the dept when you first walk out of the tank station, you get some small tutorials, on how to fight but the rest is up to you to figure out.

To make it a bit easier, the first objectives are shown with a arrow key, so you know where you need to go. You see a broken down Ambulance and look around for some Zombrex, you also saw a radio from the Army, they said they would be in town and cleanse it, after 12 hours. After you have found a vial of Zombrex, you head back to the tank station.

Before you left, you saw a broken down Motor Cycle. Luckily it was already in a trolley, so you could easily ride it back to the tank station. After you arrived at the tank station you found out that five parts are missing. So you need to find the 5 parts, before the army arrives to take your daughter away.

But there is more too Case Zero then that, but the game leaves you to choice what you want to do. And also in which order your doing it: you can find all the parts, save all survivors, kill every zombie you see, make different weapons or explore Still Creek. You can also level up your character, so you get a advantage over Dead Rising 2, because you keep your states and take it with you to the full game.

Conclusion

A excellent game, its more than a demo. It has everything you want in it, to have a great challenge and fight massive amounts of zombies, with all kinds of everyday weapons.
