Terrible Game for Achievement Hunters despite interesting story

User Rating: 3 | Dead Rising 2 X360
I am on my first run of Dead Rising 2 and this game is a big disappointment. You have my word, Capcom won't be getting my money in Dead Rising 3 anymore!

I am an Achievement hunter but Dead Rising 2 does a piss poor job in helping me acquire the achievements.

- No checkpoint.

It can't be hard to include checkpoints when you enter another area which requires loading. But Dead Rising 2 does not feature this. The restroom manual save system is absolutely outrageous and ineffective. I have been keeping track of the stuff I used to beat up zombies but one mistake leading to death sent me back one hour ago. Goddamnit! I lost track of everything!

- No mini-map

Why no mini-map? Why are we required to load the map screen so often that is just retarded?! You cannot set custom destinations like in Assassin's Creed. Dumb!

- No List

I just said that I screwed up my list because there was no checkpoint. The list I mentioned is obtained online. In the game, you have no way to tell which items you already used against zombies. If they had one, no-checkpoint screw-ups would not be so disastrous.

- Time constraint

Whose idea is this? The time constraint is cheap - a cheap way to make you fail and retry next time.

The time constraint made me fail the main story, which I actually found interesting. But that alone could not save this game. It has too many faults. Dead Rising 2 has failed me in the achievement quest. I would throw it out of the window as soon as I get the gamer-score that I well deserve!
